Why should I use a Travel Agent for a Disney vacation?

You’re looking into taking a Disney vacation.  You pull up your favorite web browser and start researching the best time of year to go, which hotel is the best hotel, and the overall cost.  You may even end up on Disney’s website and plug in some dates, hotels and find out the cost.  Before you know it, hours, or even days have passed, and you are starting to get stressed out from all the information circling the web.

This is where a Travel Agent specializing in Disney travel comes in.  Travel Agents keep up on all the details big and small regarding Disney, so you don’t have to.  All it takes is less than 10 minutes to fill out a quick form to get your free no obligation quote for a Disney vacation.  Within a day or even just hours, in most cases, you will have a few options waiting for you in your in-box.

Not sure about you, but I’d be ok with just 10 mins of filling out a form vs hours wasted going down rabbit holes.

That is just one of many reasons to use a Travel Agent.  Below are my top five reasons to use an agent.

1. Our services are FREE to you

How is this possible you ask?  Disney pays the Travel Agent a small commission to handle your vacation.  The commission is built into your overall vacation price, so there is no extra cost to you to use a Travel Agent, and you are supporting a small business at the same time.

2. Price monitoring to ensure you have the best deal

You booked your dream vacation to Disney, and now you see an offer for 25% off vacation packages. If you used a Travel Agent, they are already researching to see if you qualify for the discount and getting it applied. There are even instances where your Travel Agent could find you an even better deal, simply by changing your hotel or adjusting your travel dates.

If you didn’t use a Travel Agent you will need to call Disney to see if you qualify and have the offer applied, which usually equates to hours wasted being on hold.

3. Travel Agents help remove the stress from planning

Planning a Disney vacation can be stressful, especially just trying to keep up with all the changes. Travel Agents keep up to date on all of the current and future changes, big and small, which could affect your vacation, so you don’t have to.  Another way we help remove the stress is by creating an itinerary for your vacation.  We listen to what you and your family want to do, look at crowd calendars, and more to create the best vacation itinerary specific to you and your family.

Dining reservations open at 6a ET, we will get up early and book them for you. This way you don’t have to stress about fitting one more thing into your daily morning routine, and which dining reservation to get first.

4. Travel Agents are your travel advocate

Let’s say you have a trip planned during a potential hurricane and want to move your trip.  If you booked through a Travel Agent, they will call Disney and get your trip adjusted.  This could equate to hours being on hold.  If you booked this on your own or with a third-party company, you will need to call Disney yourself and get everything changed.  This is just one example of how a Travel Agent is your travel advocate.

5. We share our knowledge with you

Throughout the planning process we will keep you informed of upcoming events and changes that will happen during your vacation.  We will share tips and advice to help you make it the best, least stressed vacation ever.  In sharing our knowledge with you, you won’t have to spend hours going down rabbit holes to get the same information.

Did you know when you book a Disneyland or Walt Disney World vacation you only need a $200 deposit, and then can make payments up until 30 days prior to your vacation? For example, you book a vacation for October of 2025, you make the $200 deposit, and have until September 2025 to make payments, interest free.

For a Disney Cruise it is usually a 20% deposit with the remaining balance due between 90 and 120 days prior to sailing, depending on length of cruise.

Are you ready to plan your Disney vacation?  Whether it is to Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or another destination, a Travel Agent can help you.  Let’s start planning!

My name is Jen Keyser, I am a Travel Agent with White Gloves Travel Co. and I would love to share my Disney knowledge, and help you create a magical adventure.
